Piper's Angels Foundation
Katia is a Licensed Integrative Holistic Bodywork Therapist, Wellness & Breathing Coach and Culinary Nutrition Expert and Instructor; passionate about Healthy Living, Breathwork, Massage Therapy, Women's Health and Wholesome Eating.
Katia’s journey to the wellness world started with herself. She comes from a childhood where chronic asthma, sinus and allergies were very common and only treated with prescribed medications, surgery, hospitalizations and many nebulizer therapies. That’s where her awareness and passion for alternative and complementary medicine was born.
After completing her Bachelor’s Degree in Business (2009) and Master’s Degree in Management (2011) while forging her corporate career she leaped forward and in 2012 she began her wellness education in mindfulness, meditation, energy healing, bodywork, nutrition and Breathing! A complete lifestyle and career transformation to take her and others’ health to the next level. She discovered the benefits of aromatherapy to support the lungs to decongest and reduce inflammation. Also, the importance of eliminating specific foods that would make the body produce excess mucus and block the airways. Relaxing the body tension and easing the muscles to expand better. Working with the mind to release the fear to breathe and all the emotional challenges that come with it. And bringing all of that together through conscious breathwork. Relearning how to breathe, one inhale and exhale at a time; until she fully healed herself. Today, Katia is free of asthma.
In 2013 she submerged herself in the holistic wellness world leaving behind her career in the corporate world. She became a Licensed Massage Therapist to support her friends, family, clients, furthermore, the community. In 2014 with her husband, she successfully established their wellness practice in Puerto Rico and in 2017 they moved their practice to Palm Beach, Florida. There she established a volunteer relationship with Piper’s Angels Foundation creating the first ever breathing training program, “Inspire Breathworks” currently being offered to people with cystic fibrosis.
Katia graduated as a Culinary Nutrition Expert and Culinary Nutrition Instructor (2019) from the Academy of Culinary Nutrition, also studied Qi Gong, Ha Breathwork, Conscious Breathing, and Oxygen Advantage among many other workshops and certifications that allows her to support and promote well-being. She continues her quest for wisdom and knowledge of healing the body, energy healing and breathing to help deepen her understanding of wellness and the body to better serve those she works with. She takes each learning opportunity to expand her knowledge about breathing, meditation, stretching, exercising, and being whole.
