Dr. Shasha Bai is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Biostatistics at Emory University, and also the Director of the Pediatric Biostatistics Core, Interim Director of the Center for Clinical Outcomes Research and Public Health at Emory and Children’s Hospital of Atlanta. Dr. Bai has nine years of experience in CF research. She has been supported by the Pulmonary/CF divisions at Arkansas Children’s from 2014 to 2018, Nationwide Children’s Hospital from 2018 to 2021, and now the Emory Department of Pediatrics since June 2022. She closely interacts with the clinical attending and fellows and has helped with more than 40 CF projects, highlighting areas of CF such as the mental health of chronic infection in CF patients, the impact of CFTR modulators, sinus disease, nutrition and glucose intolerance, and allergies/asthma. She is a recipient of the 2020 Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Statistical Expertise and Network Award, a three-year funding mechanism to integrate and cultivate specialized statistical expertise in collaborative CF research. She is also the standing committee member of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Clinical Research Committee.
