Augusta University Children's Hospital of Georgia
Dabney Eidson is a 1996 graduate from the respiratory therapy program at Augusta University. She has four years of experience in adult critical care and twenty-two years of experience in pediatric and neonatal critical care, including seventeen years of being a member of Au's Children's Hospital of Georgia's pediatric/neonatal transport team. She has experience as an adjunct instructor at AU, and also taught neonatal and pediatric respiratory care, advanced mechanical ventilation, and clinical instruction to respiratory therapy students. She was an active member when her CF center participated within the LLC-V project sponsored by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in 2007 and also in 2016's FUN-LLC.
Dabney transferred back to the neonatal and pediatric respiratory care department at AU's Children's Hospital of Georgia in May 2010 and continued in her role on both of the adult and pediatric cystic fibrosis teams, serving approximately 180 patients between the two centers. In 2013, she began a pediatric focus due to expansion of the CF RT Specialist role. She has participated as a session moderator at the NACFC, co-facilitator for the CFF's Respiratory Therapy Mentoring Program and co-chair for the CFF"s Nebulizer and Compressor Accessibility Taskforce (NCAT). She has published two abstracts regarding airway clearance reviews and use of the high frequency chest wall oscillator simultaneously in siblings with CF and is co-author for a manuscript in Respiratory Care Journal publishing their NCAT findings. She continues to actively see patients in CF clinic.
