Heather Brosius, RN, is the adult CF program coordinator at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania. She obtained her nursing degree from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA. Her career started in pediatrics, having worked in both the inpatient and outpatient settings, before taking her current position as coordinator when the adult CF clinic was started in 2013. Heather has led her team through multiple quality improvement initiatives, including the FunToOne Learning and Leadership Collaborative and Lung Transplant Transition Regional Dissemination Network. She has helped implement a transition process for pediatric to adult care, has worked on various nutrition and cystic fibrosis related diabetes initiatives, and remains involved in improving the lung transplant process. Heather is currently the chair of the CF Education Committee.
Heather is also involved as a Quality Improvement Coach, currently credentialed as a level 1 coach through the Institute for Excellence in Health and Social Systems (IEHSS). She has experience coaching an international team from Argentina in the VIP-F7 program and is currently coaching in the VIP-F9 program. She enjoys playing and coaching soccer, traveling, cooking, and spending time outdoors with her family.
