Kim Reno received her Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Bowling Green State University in and Master of Social Work from The Ohio State University. Mrs. Reno joined the CF Foundation, in November 2017 after working as the social worker and mental health coordinator at the CF Care Center in Toledo, Ohio. She has expert medical social work experiences with considerable involvement in collaborative projects locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally. She is highly organized, award winning and published professional. She is an experienced speaker participating in local and national conferences along with experience and expertise with organizing professional conferences. Mrs. Reno has been an active participant within the North American Cystic Fibrosis Conference (NACFC) as an invited speaker and co-moderator for numerous sessions. She was the Chair of the Psychosocial “track” of the NACFC from 2009 to 2015 and was an invited to be Co-Chair of NACFC in 2012. She is an Adjunct Instructor in Social Work and a member of the Social Work Advisory Board at Bowling Green State University. She is an appointed member of the CF Task Force for the State of Ohio and is a previous Board Member and planner for the Cystic Fibrosis Nutrition and Social Work Consortium. Mrs. Reno was a member of the international committee which developed and published anxiety and depression guidelines in Cystic Fibrosis, co-leader for the Mental Health Task Force and current member of the CF Foundation Mental Health Advisory Committee. She received the Social Worker of the Year Award by Region I of the Ohio Chapter of National Association of Social Workers and was nominated by ProMedica Toledo Hospital and ProMedica Toledo Children’s Hospital for Health Care Worker of the Year for the Ohio Hospital Association. Kim is also the proud recipient of the Medical Professional of the Year from the local Make-A-Wish Chapter, the Mary M. Kontos Care Champion Award and the CF Social Work Achievement Award.
