Anna M. Georgiopoulos, MD, is consulting psychiatrist for the Massachusetts General Hospital CF Center and Associate Professor of Psychiatry, Part-time, at Harvard Medical School. She is triple board certified in general, child and adolescent, and consultation-liaison psychiatry. Dr. Georgiopoulos has played a key role in developing and implementing international guidelines for screening and treating depression and anxiety in people with CF and their caregivers, and the CF Foundation palliative care guidelines. She chairs the education and training subgroup of the CF Foundation Mental Health Advisory Committee, and serves on the European CF Society Mental Health Working Group, TDN Sexual Health, Reproduction and Gender Research Working Group (SHARING), and TDN Mental Health Research Working Group. A member of the CF Foundation Data Safety Monitoring Board, Dr. Georgiopoulos leads clinical trials in CF mental health and palliative care. Dr. Georgiopoulos received the 2018 Carolyn and C. Richard Mattingly Leadership in Mental Health Care Award from the CF Foundation.
