This session will be focused on the care of people living with cystic fibrosis in the outpatient setting. Presentations will include discussions of new treatment recommendations for cystic fibrosis-related diabetes and liver disease. Topics will also include ways to ensure access to specialty medications and expand the pharmacy technician role in clinic.

Learning Objectives:

  • Discuss new treatment recommendations for cystic fibrosis-related diabetes and cystic fibrosis-related liver disease.
  • Describe opportunities for expansion of clinic services performed by pharmacy technicians.
  • Create a plan to improve access to cystic fibrosis medications by overcoming insurance and financial barriers.
