Sharon McNamara, MN, Research Nurse Manager, Seattle Children's Hospital, has extensive experience in the development, coordination, and implementation of clinical trials in CF and other pulmonary indications. For the past 25 years, she has been involved in therapeutic trials, both investigator and industry initiated, and multicenter epidemiologic and observational studies. As a lead research coordinator, she has developed templates and tools for use by study teams. She has been involved in research coordinater and investigator training programs through the CF TDN and CFF. Most recently she has collaborated with junior investigators in grant submissions, study materials development, regulatory submissions and study implementation to promote undertanding and compliance with regulatory requirements and good clinical practice. She has also been involved in the CFF Genetic Therapies Working Group, focusing on research team education related to genetic therapies.
