Rainbow Babies and Children's
Amanda Kovar DO is a third year Pediatric Pulmonology Fellow at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. She completed her undergraduate degree with a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Spanish Language and Literature at the University of Maryland in College Park in 2012. She then completed her medical school education with a Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine from Kansas City University of Medicine in Biosciences in 2018. She completed Pediatric Residency at University of Florida Orlando at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children in 2021. She is a current Pediatric Pulmonology fellow graduating in 2024. She has a special interest in Cystic Fibrosis and Medical Education. Her current fellowship research project is a medical education project in pediatric residency education using a virtual platform to engage learners in Pediatric Pulmonology topics including Cystic Fibrosis. She recently presented a case report of a pediatric patient with pulmonary vascular disease at CHEST 2023.
