Charissa Kam PharmD, BCPPS, CPP is a pediatric pulmonary clinical pharmacist practitioner at the University of North Carolina Medical Center in Chapel Hill, NC, primarily caring for pediatric CF and lung transplant patients. She received her doctor of pharmacy degree from the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy in 2014, and completed her PGY1 and PGY2 residency training at Texas Children's Hospital in Houston, TX. Dr. Kam's areas of interest include pharmacotherapy management in the post-Trikafta era, management of difficult to treat infections, applications of therapeutic drug monitoring, lung transplanation, and pharmacogenomics. She is actively involved in ongoing research and quality improvement projects at the UNC Pediatric Cystic Fibrosis center and in collaboration with other pharmacists at CF centers across the country. She plays violin in the Durham Medical Orchestra, and enjoys the outdoors.
