Heidi is the LCSW Social Worker/Mental Health Coordinator at the Northwestern University Adult Cystic Fibrosis program in Chicago, IL . She has been in this role since March of 2019. Prior to this, Heidi was the MICU Social Worker at Northwestern Memorial Hospital for 7 years.
Heidi has also worked in inpatient medical social work with several different patient populations at Advocate Trinity Hospital and Northshore Skokie Hospital in the Chicago-area. She has received a “Nursing Partner in Care” award at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and “Essential Piece” award at Advocate Trinity Hospital for my contributions to working with the interdisciplinary team to provide outstanding patient care.
Additionally, Heidi worked in home health care at Heartland Home Healthcare in Palatine, IL. Prior to completing her Masters’ degree in Social Work, Heidi had worked for several years in community mental health as an outpatient mental health worker at Northwestern Memorial Hospital’s emergency housing program and as a case manager at Thresholds.
