Dr. Chelsea Toth is the Director of Field Education and Assistant Professor of Social Work at Cedar Crest College. As an educator, Dr. Toth aims to utilize her social work practice experience by bringing her clinical expertise to the classroom. Dr. Toth has experience working with children, adolescents and their families, case management, community development, and most recently as a pediatric social worker. Dr. Toth is a former cystic fibrosis center social worker. Dr. Toth obtained her Doctorate in Clinical Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania. She earned her Master of Social Work degree from Monmouth University. Dr. Toth completed her Bachelor of Social Work degree from Cedar Crest College. Dr. Toth is currently researching the impact of research and barriers to evidence based practice among CF social workers. Dr. Toth has conducted research focused on the impact of social isolation and the exploration of social connection amongst young adults living with CF. In addition, Dr. Toth recently conducted research of social work student’s internship experience in the wake of COVID-19.
