Meg Dvorak, LCSW, earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology at UCLA and her master’s degree in social work at University of Pennsylvania, specializing in health. She has 25 years of experience working in medical settings including pediatric dialysis and kidney transplant, liver disease, emergency medicine, inpatient psychiatry, and most recently pulmonary medicine/cystic fibrosis. Meg facilitates 3 monthly support groups on-line for the CF community and has participated in workshops, podcasts, panel discussions, and presentations for the CF community.
Meg is certified in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and has expertise in dialectical behavior therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness and meditation. Meg has been an interventionist for the multi center CF CBT study from 2020-2022 is now an expert consultant for the CF CBT implementation study. Outside of the CF world, Meg has a private psychotherapy practice in Burlingame, CA.
