The introduction of highly effective modulator therapy (HEMT) has resulted in unprecedented improvement in clinical outcomes and quality of life for eligible people with CF. However, not everyone responds equally nor are all aspects of CF airway disease normalized by HEMT. This symposium will review and integrate the latest data emerging from observational and experimental studies in this field, allowing the participants to better understand the impact of restoration of CFTR function on chronic airways infection & inflammation, and define unmet needs in the treatment of CF lung disease.
